The Federation For American Immigration Reform has been called to testify on immigration bills before congress more than any organization in America. Fair US is a national, nonprofit, public-interest, membership organization of concerning citizens who share the common belief that our nation's immigration policies must be reformed to serve the national interest.
Where other organizations may use physical force or demonstrations to try and change the US immigration reform policies Fair US works within the structure of the United States legal systems and legislature to make a lasting difference. Fair Us advocates that the immigration laws be fair and effectively enforced. Even though there are existing laws to regulate immigration many are not being enforced. The primary Goals of Fair US, Federation for American Immigration Reform, are: to increase public awareness and understanding of immigration, to inform leaders in academe, government and media on the costs of uncontrolled immigration, and to influence public policy directly by lobbying to protect citizens' rights.
FAIR Media Director Ira Mehlman discusses the Papal visit to the U.S. in light of remarks on immigration made by the Pope.
Federation for American Immigration Reform President Dan Stein debates the unfinished business of 2004 including efforts to enact a secure ID system and build a border fence to control illegal immigration.
